USC Watt Hall, Los Angeles- Project consisted of converting Watt Hall from a 2 story building into a 3 story building for new office space.  G.D. Heil was responsible for removing over 22,000 sf of 12” topping slab throughout the roof.  This included taking everything down to the existing structural slab.  G.D. Heil also removed the entire perimeter parapet wall which was over 600 lf of 8” concrete wall.  We utilized a 365 ton crane and wall sawed the parapet in sections.  Special items of demolition were several large openings that were cut in the existing 18” thick structural slabs. Hollywood Galaxy Theatre, Los Angeles- Project consisted of converting the existing Hollywood Galaxy Movie Theatre into an L.A. Fitness.  G.D. Heil was responsible for bringing the existing theatre to a “shell” condition.  The theatre was over 45,000 sf.  G.D. Heil was also responsible for removing the existing 12” concrete topping slabs and metal decks that were in place in all of the existing theatres. Client-CIM Group
